For attention of primary and special schools
Boys into Books Primary (5-11 year olds) reader development project
Boys into Books is funded by the DCSF to underpin reading for purpose and pleasure and to celebrate the National Year of Reading with extra resources for your school library.
The boxes of books will be delivered in late September, not during the summer term as originally planned. This is because our book suppliers cannot meet the deadlines for delivery, because the publishers haven’t printed sufficient copies of titles on the prescribed list!
Every Primary and Special school will receive a collection of at least 25 books, specially chosen by SLS staff to appeal to lads (but girls will enjoy them too!) You don’t have to do anything except enjoy sharing the books.
DON’T FORGET!!
Devon SLS librarians are happy to come to schools to promote reading to children and parents – check out
