National Year of Reading 2008

We know that your pupils love to hear you read stories aloud to them, so as part of our commitment to National Year of Reading, SLS staff are compiling some suggestions of titles that your children might particularly enjoy.

We will be looking for short and exciting titles that can be shared in one session, or over the space of a few days so that you don’t all lose the plot!

By the end of the year we will have a tried and tested Top 20 for each of these three age groups: KS1, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6.

The lists will be available to download from our website, or from our 3 Centres and Mobile Libraries.

If you have any suggestions of a book that your class have loved hearing, please let us know so that it can go into the mix.
